AMERICA ROSA  VOTED EDMONTON'S #1 LATIN BAND BY LATINO EDMONTON READERS! Together since 1991, America Rosa started as a 5 piece band under Sergio Gonzalez.  In 1994 the band released their first CD, titled Fiesta.  They now typically number between 8-10 persons when performing, and usually include a full cohort of percussion and horns.  America Rosa is known for their tight performances of Merengue, Cumbia, Salsa, and other Latin styles.  They have recently cebreated 15 yrs, with a successful performance at Azucar Latin Club. BOMBA VOTED EDMONTON'S #3 LATIN BAND BY LATINO EDMONTON READERS Bomba is considered by many to be Edmonton's best band for live latin music. Mixing a number of backgrounds and influences to their music, they nonetheless remain faithful to the Cuban beat that has defined there sound! LOS CAMINANTES VOTED EDMONTON'S #2 LATIN BAND BY LATINO EDMONTON READERS! Formed in December 1979 in Edmonton, Los Caminantes have been bringing the hot latin rythms to Alberta and constantly evolving to keep the Latin Fever alive. The band consists of the two original members, Ramiro & Gonzalo Proano from Quito, Ecuador, They formed the group and continue the tradition with the addition of nephew Johnny Proano. Thru the years great musicians have spent time with Los Caminantes but the nucleus has always tayed the same. The band now consists of Ramiro on the Bass, Gonzalo on the Piano, Johnny on the percussion, Chris on the trombone, and lead vocal Rosina.  Los Caminantes celebrated their 25th year performing for Edmonton audiences with an impressive show at Mezza Luna Latin Club.

COMBO RE Combo Re is a brand new band with brand new faces & fresh new talent lead by singer Benny Guzman. Combo Re's repertoire is very modern and upbeat, offering the latin audiences something new and exciting. While they play Salsa, Merengue, and Cumbia, one of their strengths is their Bachata interpretations which wins applause everytime.  The have recently added Reggaeton to their repetoire. They perform throughout Alberta at the best Latin hotspots and have aired on CKER and CJSR radio.  Check out Combo Re's website.  They can be contacted at (780) 490-0756 and by email at combore@mail.com.

ORQUESTRA ENERGIA Orquestra Energia is another of Edmonton's latin group's.  With a tight, clean sound, they have earned themselves a faithful following in Edmonton's salsa dance scene. They can often be heard at special events around Alberta, and at Mezza Luna Night Club.

THE MARCO CLAVERIA BAND Marco Claveria is one of Edmonton's finest Latin musicians and has thrilled Edmonton audiences for years.  With an invigorating mix of genres, the Marco Claveria Band is not to be missed.  Fans of Edmonton's Latin Music scene will recognize Marco from Bomba.

RADIO VACANA Radio Vacana is a "Latin-Caribbean-Afro-Funk octet" that plays in a variety of styles and languages.  Renowned for their versatility, they are rapidly making a name for themselves in Alberta and beyond.

SONORA TROPICAL Edmonton based band, Sonora Tropical performs all over Alberta.  They have been together since 1997, and specialize in Cumbia, Merengue and Salsa.

X-BANDA New band on the Edmonton Scene, formed in 2003, X-Band began as the house band for Azucar Latin Club, and now plays venues around the city.
